Health benefits
Decades of research have confirmed what sauna cultures have known for centuries: regular sauna use is good for your body. For those dealing with chronic pain, joint stiffness or muscle soreness, the penetrating warmth of a sauna offers real, lasting relief in a way that no pill can match.
Mental Health
The sauna may be one of the most underrated tools for mental health available to us. Heat exposure releases endorphins and even reduces cortisol (the body’s primary stress hormone. Recent studies found that those who used the sauna 4-7 times a week had lower rates of all cardiovascular issues than those who used it once a week. Investing in your longevity is important.
What to expect.

This isn’t a kit, it’s a craft.
Every sauna we build is designed from scratch for your property, your preferences, and your climate. We select the wood ourselves, cut every joint by hand and finish each build like it’s going in our own backyard. The quality is what matters. No synthetic materials, no plastics, no toxic materials just the way it’s supposed to be. We don’t want you to throw it in the trash next year. We want you to enjoy it for decades and have your kids and grandkids enjoy it too.
What we build
Traditional cedar wood single slope sauna. Hand crafted and made in Michigan. Custom cabin saunas. Full structure builds, cedar exterior, interior benching, your choice of wood burning or electric. Designed to fit your land. We build 6X6 units, 6×10 units and 8×12 units. Same craftsmanship different sizes for your family and friends.

Because up here we know what a real sauna feels like.
Client input is paramount. I actively seek feedback on design proposals, facilitating an iterative process that hones in on the perfect balance between client vision and my design expertise. This collaborative approach ensures the final design surpasses expectations.
Why us?
Local, experienced and obsessed with the details. We’re based in Emmet county. We’ve built in the snow, on the water and in the unpredictable Michigan weather. We know this terrain, these winters and what it takes to build something that lasts, not just something that looks good in photos. Though it does look great in photos too.
Here is what to look forward to.

Beauty of Northern Michigan
Northern Michigan is a place that commands your full attention. From clear waters to the dense forests that line the back roads. The four seasons here aren’t just a change in temperature, they are full transformations. It’s a place that rewards those who slow down and pay attention— and a sauna, tucked into that landscape is the perfect way to do exactly that.
Real wood, not cheap plastics
There’s a reason that the finest saunas in the world are built of real wood. Wood breathes and absorbs and releases heat gently, creating a warmth that synthetic materials simply cannot replicate. Plastic and composite panels may promise low maintenance, but they off gas under high heat, warp over time, and feel exactly like what they are— a short cut. We build with premium natural woods. When you step into one of our saunas, you’re stepping into something that will last decades not days. You can feel the difference the moment the door closes.
History of saunas
The sauna is one of humanity’s oldest wellness traditions, dating back over two thousand years to Northern Europe. Sauna’s made their way across the Atlantic and to the Great Lakes region where it took on some deep roots. In Michigan, the sauna tradition has been alive for generations. When you build a sauna today, you’re not following a wellness trend, you’re participating in something proven and profoundly human.
